friends gathering to help each other live more with Jesus, and become more like him every day.
We aren’t meant to do life on our own. We all need people to encourage us, to ‘cheer us on’, to cry with us, challenge us, and to offer support. Home Groups are a safe place for this to happen, as well as where we ask for help when we’re struggling and offer help to others.
Home Groups at WVC are intentional. Not formal, or religious, but with intent to participate through sharing honestly, seeking to move closer to Jesus, and to help each other do this. We commit to asking each other questions like, “How are you going?”, “How’s your walk with Jesus going?”, “How are your relationships?”…
As well as spending time learning and praying for each other, we value time chatting, catching up, enjoying food and being together with our families.
Ultimately, we meet together in pursuit of our highest goal, to become like Jesus, to do what he did, and bring life to the earth.
Home Groups meet during the week at locations around the inner-west of Melbourne.
